Great managers and leaders are a rare breed in organisations across the world, but where they are found, trained and developed they become completely invaluable. A Gallup survey showed that when companies increase the number of great leaders and managers they achieve 147% higher earnings per share than their competition. (Gallup)
POOR LEADERS AFFECT MORE THAN THE BOTTOM LINE
In addition to lost productivity, poor leaders and managers are responsible for huge increases in employee absenteeism, increased safety concerns, plummeting turnover and significantly increased healthcare costs. Ineffective leaders demonstrate behaviours such as low emotional intelligence, disrespect, bias, intimidation and a lack of empathy, support, recognition and self-accountability.
